Julie O’Brien

Director of Business Development

Julie O’Brien is the Director of Business Development at Chantilly Air, bringing over 26 years of diverse experience in the aviation industry. Her career has encompassed a wide range of roles, including executive helicopter and private jet scheduling, Marketing Director, Director of FBO Operations, and General Manager. Julie's extensive background in business aviation has equipped her with a strong foundation in client relations, strategic growth, and operational excellence.

Julie is the co-founder of the Aviation Education & Career Expo, a nationally recognized event that promotes aviation careers and educational opportunities to high school and college students. Under her leadership, the Expo has awarded over $1.7 million in scholarships to aspiring aviation professionals. She has been featured on the cover of Women in Aviation magazine and is a sought-after speaker on the topic of aviation mentorship.

Her contributions to the aviation community have earned recognition from prestigious organizations such as Marine One, Air Force One, and the Army Golden Knights. Julie currently serves on the global advisory board for Paragon Aviation Group. Her commitment to excellence aligns perfectly with Chantilly Air's mission to deliver world-class service to its clients.

A resident of Frederick, Maryland, Julie is a devoted wife and mother. Her educational background spans Social Work, Human Services, Art & Design, and Business, with studies at Frederick Community College, Hood College, and the University of Maryland – Baltimore. Outside of work, Julie is passionate about the outdoors and enjoys traveling, hiking, kayaking, horseback riding, and spending time on Lake Raystown, in Pennsylvania.

Julie’s deep passion for aviation and her commitment to connecting people through the transformative power of flight make her an invaluable asset to Chantilly Air and its clients. As Chantilly Air continues to evolve and grow, Julie's leadership in business development efforts, including expanding Aircraft Management and Aircraft Charter services, will be instrumental in identifying emerging market demands and forming strategic partnerships.
